In these classes a variety of techniques are covered to incorporate different learning styles, i.e. visual, auditory, kinesthetic (touchy-feely). The aim is to provide the learner with experiences from an assortment of techniques. From here they can choose which is most appropriate for their lifestyle and those they enjoy and bring most benefit.
For example, we cover:
* visualisations to develop right brain creative balance * physical relaxation (as a foundation stress reduction technique) * chanting * senses (watching a candle glowing) * walking and movement meditation ... and much more, depending on length of course and group
A varied and interesting course covering different aspects of meditation in a modern world. Ideally suited for busy or stressed people. We'll explore using our different senses, moving, breath work, body scanning, creative visualisations for relaxation and as a stepping stone for greater physical awareness. We aim to find what suits the individual's own practice and to bring about greater physical, emotional and spiritual awareness to your better overal well being. Meditation techniques are a useful way to reduce the effects of stress, for peace and tranquility. This brings health benefits, better relationships and much more! You don't need to be able to sit in the lotus position to meditate, nor chant Om (but it helps!!). Please do come along with an open mind and a curious nature. Home | | |
